“Be regular and orderly in your life,
so that you may be violent and original in your work.”
~Gustave Flaubert
A Los Angeles based screenwriter and freelance writer, I also ghostwrite and edit the writing of others. Though my primary education, training and experience is in screenwriting, as a playwright and ghostwriter (memoir, non-fiction books and novels), on occasion I am involved in film production. Understanding and experiencing the relationship between the page and the stage makes for a better scribe or playwright. Memoir is my favorite literary genre but screenwriting is my great love.
In the past I’ve taught advanced screenwriting coursework (at the Creative Screenwriting Expo in Los Angeles and for Scriptwriters Network, on the CBS Radford Lot, on topics including “Break through Writers Block,” “Alternative Story Development for Screenwriters,” “Screenwriting from Both Sides of the Brain,” and more). Currently on teaching hiatus while completing my Word Flow book and meeting screenwriting and freelance writing obligations. Soon I’ll offer information products designed to facilitate unprecedented creative output for creative and writers, as well as consult on projects and facilitate creativity for a limited number of up-and-coming writers and screenwriters through Word Flow.
I write in most genres and, due to the diverse projects and opportunities that have come my way, am experienced and competent in most mediums. I’m both highly collaborative (an experienced co-writer with one or more other writers) as well as happy to write solo. Thank you for visiting!
